The Heritage series is dedicated to the company’s long history of watchmaking. Titoni’s latest creations within this series include a vintage edition of a 1950s watch and a modern retro edition inspired by the iconic timepiece of that time. Both editions are so-called Bicompax Chronographs: They come with a pair of two subdials, one register for the small second hand (at the 9 o’clock position), and one for the timed minutes (at the 3 o’clock position).

MULTIFUNCTION CHRONOGRAPH

This vintage edition of the 1950s original Felca model is equipped with a chronograph (stopwatch), a tachymeter and a telemeter. It is skillfully designed with state-of-the-art materials. The vintage “Cathedral style” hands taper to a point with curved tips, typical for a number of legendary luxury watches from the 1950s. The chronograph-buttons are fixed outside the watchcase, as was typical for chronographs in those days.

VINTAGE STYLE ELEMENTS

The two most striking design features of this vintage model are the original Titoni logo plus the fonts used for the 1950s style writing. The domed sapphire crystal glass is another indication for watch connoisseurs that this model is a vintage tribute to its Felca original. The watch hands as well as the Arabic numbers are coated with Superluminova in the “Old Radium” style, which has a slightly beige hue in daylight, lending the watch a certain vintage character. The night glow is more of a yellow-green shade and of high intensity.

VIEW OF THE CHRONOGRAPH MOVEMENT

A further impressive feature of this watch is the transparent case back that offers a fascinating view of the complicated chronograph movement.

THE ORIGINAL

The original model was launched in the 1950s under TITONI’s sister brand name Felca. The legendary brand was well-known in the Western world and the Middle East. This hand-wound Felca watch was fitted with the Landeron 148, a calibre designed by the Swiss company of the same name. Landeron was famous at that time for producing some of the sturdiest chronograph calibres.
