On May 1, 2010, the doors will open for the World Exhibition in Shanghai. More than seventy million visitors are expected to attend this fair which will last for six months and will be one of the biggest ever held in history.

The World Expo 2010 in Shanghai is the first World Expo to focus on the theme of “Better City, Better Life”. It is also the first World Expo to invite a number of selected cities to be part of the World Expo, a privilege which, up to now, was accorded to state governments only. – The Swiss cities of Basel, Geneva and Zurich will make World Expo history by joining hands for the first time to deliver an exhibit on water management under the theme “Better Water – Best Urban Life”. Many surveys have suggested that these three Swiss cities are the leading cities in the world in terms of quality of life.
